"The Horror" is a fan comic project that started in 2006 in anticipation of the Real Time Strategy PC game expansion Warhammer 40,000 - Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. It follows the adventures of Pinky the Chaos Horror as he runs amok in the Warhammer 40K universe in search of a soul mate, or "friend".

"The Horror: Dark Crusade" is set in the game expansion, sharing the same storyline and characters, and featuring inside jokes from the fan forum, cameos by forum and game staff, and backgrounds made from edited ingame screenshots. Despite the comic's poor quality, it was a hit with the community and a number of the game developers, and has become wildly popular among Dawn of War players and Warhammer 40K fans in general.
